A great place to bring the entire family!
Tarboro First Pentecostal Holiness Church is a full gospel Bible believing Church started in 1908 while they were still worshipping in various homes.
We are a multicultural and multigenerational church so we have something to offer everyone. We worship in a large sanctuary where you are free to be yourselves with worship freedom and truth in an atmosphere that is safe and family oriented. We minister in music and God’s Holy Word, with good praise music and Holy Spirit annointed preaching. We love all people as Christ loved and commanded us to love. It is our goal to win the lost, disciple the saved, and equip the saints as we strive to carry out the Great Commission of Christ. “Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. ” Matthew 29:16-20
The Power of the Bible
We affirm the divine inspiration, truthfulness and authority of both Old and New Testament Scriptures in their entirety as the only written word of God, without error in all that it affirms, and the only infallible rule of faith and practice. We also affirm the power of God’s word to accomplish his purpose of salvation. The message of the Bible is addressed to all men and women. For God’s revelation in Christ and in Scripture is unchangeable. Through it the Holy Spirit still speaks today. He illumines the minds of God’s people in every culture to perceive its truth freshly through their own eyes and thus discloses to the whole Church ever more of the many-colored wisdom of God.
